If you owned a company, and you decided you wanted to start selling shares of your company to the public, you would take your “show” on the road to try and “sell the sizzle” and look for money for the company. Typically, companies engage in road shows before an initial public offering, or “IPO.” It helps to spread the word about your company and get investor support.
